- I work mainly with photography. I’m fascinated by projections, the materiality and light of the photo-slides, and the incorporation of this medium into video and performances.

- Statement
- When describing what I do, I often start saying I do photography… the fact is that I do carry my camera always in my bag and this is the medium I use to research, to document, and to create the images I will later work with. I have explored and worked with projections, photographic projections, because I’m very interested in the materiality and light of the slides. I have worked with and incorporated this medium into video and performances.
My latest works evoke different ways we relate to our spaces, our perception and our presence in a place.
I try to reflect on the many ways our memories and identities are influenced by our spaces, the way we think of them, the way we own them, if we do; the possibilities of relating to our spaces on a personal, social and philosophical level.
How can we evoke or refer to our presence in a place, to the way we experience it and the way we project spaces and our future presence.
I would like to find in this project a realm for experimentation in these and other subjects, and a collaboration that will provide the closest critical environment and challenging exchange on our platform and later on in Damascus. Within this project I would like to be part of a process of bringing-forth different ways of approaching and rethinking our world, and also new ways of approaching and rethinking art, art research and practice.

This is how space begins, with words only, signs traced on the blank page. To describe space: to name it, to trace it, like those portolano-makers who saturated the coastlines with the names of harbours, the names of capes, the names of inlets, untile in the end the land was only separated from the sea by a continuous ribbon of text. Is the aleph, that place in Borges from which the entire world is visible simultaneously, anything othe than an alphabet?
